Garrett had his 6th month check up on Monday. He was 16lbs 7oz. (Addy at a year 18lbs 8oz). He is 50th percent in weight and 65th percent in length. He is doing very well. Garrett started solids two weeks ago. We have made it through vegetable and half way through fruits. He is grabbing food from your hand if it is anywhere in his reach. He is my eater.

Addison had her 30 month check up at the same time. This is new this year to check their social development which we are not lacking in. She talks more than Brandt and I put together. The only concerning point to the appointment was that she is growing up but not out. She grew 2 and one half inchs and only 1 lb. The doctor started her on a appetite stimulate. Hopefully this will make my baby eat and gain weight.

Halloween 2010

She loved trick or treating. Addison would walk up to a front door say trick or treat, thank you and then all of a sudden she said let me grant you a wish. I love the things that come out of her mouth. She is just amazing and funny.

My little pumpkin and fairy princess! She is loving holidays with all the decorations. Christmas should and will be so much fun this year.

This is my little man all the time. He doesn't cry and he always has a smile on his face. He laughs out loud at his sister all day long. She is in love with him. They just love on each other. I am so blessed with great kids.

He started sitting up about a week after his 5 month birthday.

I love this picture. We went to the pumpkin patch in shorts and t shirts only in Georgia. I am sorry that I have not updated the site in such a long time. I am not sure where the time goes. I try to play with them every minute of the day so when they sleep I am going a mile a minute. We are looking forward to seeing all the family on Thanksgiving and then Christmas.
We were in DC about two weeks ago and got to meet Baby Morgan. She was adorable. I think that Garrett could of rolled over and smashed her, my little big man and little Morgan. We go for his 6 month check up next week. He was 16 lbs at the GI doctor this week, lets put this in relation to our world. Addy was 18 lbs at a year. He is huge to me but only 25-50% in weight and 90% in height.

My little buddy is growing up. He is almost 4 months. You think that you are busy with one child then you have another baby. You realize that you were not busy at all.
Garrett is so happy during the day. He smiles all day long.

He is still not sleeping through the night but we still love him. He is just getting up one time but mommy and daddy are tired. If anyone wants to let Garrett know this, please feel free.

8 weeks

Garrett has improved so much in the past couple of weeks. He is pretty much sleeping through the night. He has really started to smile this week. He is getting much more interactive.

Lindsey, Matt and Alex came to Ben's Shower over the weekend. Alex and Addy were so sweet together.

Garrett has turned into a much happier baby! The smiling is making mommy a much happier mommy also. It is much more rewarding a smiling baby instead of a screaming baby.

My little rock star!!! I could not ask for a happier easy going child. She has been great with Garrett. She still tells him she loves him and he is her "friend". I thought the newest of the baby would wear off by now and she might decide she doesn't like him but not yet. Thank God!!

We had a photographer come to the house and get newborn pictures of Garrett and 2 year old pictures of Addison. The pictures turned out great. Garrett is almost 6 weeks now. I think that his reflux is getting better. We started a new medicine last week and we are increasing the dose again today. Addison is still loving her little brother.

We took Addison to the pool on Saturday and Sunday. She loved every minute of it. She was not scared at all. She was going underwater and wanting to jump off the diving board. She has no fear. She was kicking and screaming when we left the pool both days after being there for 2 and a half hours.

I am adjusting slowly but surely to being a mother of two. It is more difficult than I thought. I think that more of it is more guilt of not being able to play with Addison as much.

3rd Week of Life

Baby Garrett has definitely woken up. He stays up for about an hour after he eats then takes a short nap. I still am feeling very blessed although Brandt goes back to work next week. I am alittle nervous about Brandt going back to work. I am sure that I will get use to it but I am sure next week will be a shock to the system.

2nd Week of Life

We have been very blessed again with a good tempered baby. We had to go back to the pediatrician this week for a check. Overly protective ICU nurse mommy was worried about about some funny breathing baby Garrett was doing while eating. After the pediatrician told me not to worry, we made a visit to the ENT doctor who informed us that baby Garrett just has a bad case of reflux. We were started on zantac (acid reducer for the belly). We will revisit the ENT in three weeks for a recheck. Although baby Garrett is not at all bothered by the reflux, he is just as even tempered as Addy. On a good note, Garrett weighed 8lbs 8oz. He has gained a whole pound in three weeks way to go.

Addy absolutely loves her baby brother. Every morning he gets a hug and kiss and a good morning baby Garrett.

He is sleeping from 10pm until 3am and then till 6:30-7am. I am needless to say extremely lucky.

Papaw and Mimi came to visit. Addison truly enjoys there visits. They play with her no stop. I am sure that Papaw is extremely proud of his first grandson.

Garrett's 1st Week

First bath at home

Garrett joined the family on May 6th at 39 weeks. It was just as easy of a delivery as Addison's. He was 7lbs 5oz and 21 inch's long. We have been very blessed Addy thinks Garrett is wonderful. She gives Garrett hugs every morning and tells him she loves him. He was back up to birth weight by Monday at the doctors appointment. They said that I could let him sleep for 5 hours at night which was a blessing to mom and dad. He is getting feed at 10pm and waking at 1-2am and not again till 6-7am. I love him. We have been extremely lucky and blessed with two beautiful and healthy children but we are officially done.

Addy thought the Easter Egg Hunt was wonderful. She immediately ran out and started grabbing the eggs. I still can not believe how big she is getting everyday.

She touched the Easter bunny. We are making progress from Christmas since she would not even touch Santa.

A web site said the other day that the average words that a 22 month old child says is 20. She picks up in a day probably 4 new words. I would think that her vocabulary is in the hundreds. She says 3-4 word sentences. She talks as much as Brandt and I do. I am sure that she gets this from me not Brandt. She sings 4 or 5 songs by herself. I want this to slow down. I absolutely love this age.

Papaw and Meme visited this weekend. We had a great time visiting with them. She wakes up every morning asking to see Papaw and Meme. We wish we could live near everyone.

Brandt and I celebrate our 3rd Anniversary this week. I have been pregnant for 2 of them. I am looking forward to next year when we can really go out and celebrate . It is hard to believe that we are about to be the parents of two children. These 3 years have flown by. I would do it all again. We are so blessed with such a wonderful, happy, healthy child. We just pray that this little boy is just as sweet. She is going to be hard to beat.

It is so funny everytime we see these statues I guess she thinks they are real. She will bend down to look at them and pets them like a real dog.

Addy's 1st haircut. She did not like sitting in the chair. I was doing everything to distract her while she got her hair cut. She brushed my hair and watched TV. She just needed a little taken off the back. They did a great job.

It snowed last friday, when she got up from her nap I showed her the snow. Her first reaction was snow with bent knees and a big wow. Then she said coat, boots, and outside; she is so funny. She loved the snow.

Her little hands and nose were freezing when we tried to carry her in kicking and screaming. Kids have no concept of cold. She was in the bath tub tonight and told me that she needed to poop. I put her up on the potty and she went poop and pee. She was so excited and mommy was so excited also. She is really talking in sentences now. Addison looked at me last night and said "I want milk" and then tonight "I want grapes". I love that she is able to start telling me things. This age is wonderful. She is so cute and interactive. I love being her mommy.

90th Birthday Trip to Dallas, TX

Brandt's whole family

She loved to sit at the piano and play. She thought it was great.

Brandt's Grandfather turned 90 this past weekend. I guess that I married into good genes if nothing else. He is doing excepectional for 90 he gets around like he is 70. Brandt's cousin PJ was able to fly in from Virginia also. We had a great time staying at his aunt and uncle house. The surprise party went really well. The car ride and the plane ride were the worst. The plane was trip was so bad that I am refusing to get on a plane for the rest of the year. We got on the plane to come home at 3pm off the plane at 4pm back on at 4:30 then sat on the runway till 8:30. We landed at the wonderful time of 10:30 got in bed at 12:30 and up for work at 5am. I love air travel.

Addy and I had decided to fly in a day early to spend some time with my friend Colin and her boys. They had been sick so Addy and I had a girls only day and night in a swanky hotel that Daddy set his girls up in. We played at the mall next door to the hotel at there indoor play area. We ate dinner and watched the ice skaters in the mall ice skating rink. Addy got to take the longest bath ever with the water running the whole time (her favorite thing).

Christmas morning 2009

Addison's first reaction this morning was somewhat of a bent knee stance with a huge "whoa whoa" just looking at the toys underneath the tree. She loved the musical instrument set that Santa brought. She loves music class so the instruments were just the right touch. The drum which she calls "bang bang" was such the hit.

Santa got a great deal on this tunnel that attaches to a tent. She dove right in and kept in and out all day. Saying again, again and that was just the tunnel.

Not to name any names but Mimi and Papaw spoiled her to death, she kept opening and opening all day long. She loved all her gifts but I think the last one opened was the favorite. The tea set was a bigger hit than anyone thought it could be.

Although Elmo doctor's kit was not a far off loser by any means, she loves her Elmo. I am sure each Christmas to come will be more fun than the last but this one was great. She was just so cute with all the "whoas ".

Christmas Eve in Louisville

We spent this Christmas in Louisville. Addison had a great time running around with all of her cousins. Lindsey, Matt and Alex will be moving to Atlanta soon so Addy and Alex will become much better friends in the near future. She really started to get in to opening the presents. The first response to the gifts was "wow box" and then she would realize the box contained something.

Here is our family which is growing or really I am growing by the day. I am trying to give a belly shot to my dear friend Colin but it did not work very well. I will try again soon. Addy decided this week while in Louisville that the camera is a good thing again. She picked up my dad's camera and said cheese with a big grin. So hopefully I will be able to get photos again.

Granny gave Addy a mop, broom and dust pan. She thought they were great. I think one of her favorite gifts that day was the purse that Grandma gave her. She is still carrying it around. It matched her Christmas outfit perfectly.

She had started talking so much this week. She is really communicating. Two to three word sentences are coming out of her mouth left and right. I can not get over how much progress they can make in a day.

My little cow was the cutest cow ever! She loves her costume. Addy wants to wear it all the time. We were even able to dress up for story time.

I still wish we looked at all alike maybe the new baby will look like me.

17 months

You could say that somethings are just inborn. Addy is defiantly a girl. She loves to play with my purses and hats.

This is how I found her the other day. She was sitting in her babies stroller looking out the front door. She cracks me up. I wish I knew what she was thinking. I wish she was talking more.

My little lady is definatly a girl but she loves to be outside playing in the dirt.

Making Daddy happy in her Auburn outfit, even though Auburn has not been making Daddy happy.

Everyday she amazes me. The other morning she was hungry earlier than usual. She went and got her bib out of the draw and went to her seat at the table. Then last night it was bath time, she normally gets her towel and comes to the bathroom. The bath towel was not on the door like it normally is so she went to the draw and got a towel out. She pointed to her diaper this morning and said peepee. She is growing every minute. On Sunday, she was sitting in a big girl chair and I was sitting in her pottery barn chair. She said "mommy sitting in Addy chair". Brandt and I just looked at each other wondering if we really had just heard that.

I know I always say that I love this age but I really am loving this age. Her personality is just shining.

We really liked the tractor ride.

She thought it was pretty neat to be able to reach up and grab the apples.

Addison is a sucker for any slide. She loved them in St. Thomas. Anytime we see one she has to go down them.

Sometimes I wonder who is having more fun, Addy or Daddy. I was so jealous when all she use to say was Daddy for everything but now all she says is mommy. I think that I hear mommy more than a thousand times a day. I will never get tried of it. Everything has mommy in front of it. She said crackers, Sam, and pj's this week. She is becoming such the mimic.

Hillcrest Orchard

We thought that it would be great to spend the morning up at an Apple orchard. They had a petting zoo, tractor ride, apple picking and horse riding. Addy thought she was big stuff driving the tractor.

She thought the cows were the best of all since it was the only animal that she came close to touching.

I wish someone would have warned us that the goats jump. They scared her a bit as soon as we got there. I knew that she would either love it or hate it. I guess she was more in the middle. It was neat to be able to pick the apples. They let you taste all the apples that they grow. It was nice to compare all of them together. It is hard to get any closer to fresh then right off the tree.

Obligitory End of Summer Update

Hey everyone. Sorry for another delay but we have been chasing our little energizer bunny. And when she naps we have to rest ourselves.

She constantly has new boo-boos on her, so much so she now says "boo-boo". She broke her collar bone last week. She's quite a trooper, though. She manages most of the time to act like she's in no pain. But her falls usually reminder her and cause a few more tears than normal. But she's back off to the races after a few seconds.

Its sad that the end of summer has come and gone. We had a bunch of fun going to the pool and the fountain park in Roswell. But we'll charge on and keep chasing the ball, and cruising in the Cozy Coupe.
And lastly, Addy is not just a little energizer bunny, but a little mirror of her parents. She pretends to type on the key boards (any keyboard she can get her hands on), pretends to cook in her new kitchen, to change the channel on the remote and often actually does change the channel, and to be a Mommy just like Carmen.

15 month check up

We went to the doctor yesterday. Addison is 20 lbs 7oz (15-20%) and 31 1/2 inchs tall (75%). It is hard to be her right now. Most people would complain being blond, blue eyes, tall and skinny!!!! j/k She is feeling alittle down today from her shots yesterday but she will hopefully be her happy self tomorrow.

We had our friends Birthday Party last week so we had to put on our party dresses. Alex who is in our play group turned one. We have been having play dates with Alex, Maggie, Ellamay and Keller on a very frequent basis. The mommy's have become some of my closest friends. We are going to start going to girls dinner once a month with no kids and no husbands. I am so excited. Girl Time!!!

I just love her little expressions.

We have started to let her feed herself which makes me have a lot of self control over the large mess that is made. She is getting to be such a big girl. I got her a little stroller at a sale the other day and she is loving pushing her baby around in it. She is starting to say more things. Brandt is going to need to watch out or he will never get a word in. I always think that she is so much fun but then another month goes by and I wonder how more fun could she get. She is my little lovebug. I never thought it could be this much fun.

St. Thomas continued

My best friend Colin and her family were able to come spend the week with us. We were both worried about all of us in a two bedroom condo but it was wonderful. The kids got along great and so did the mommies. You never know having that many people in a small place for a week. We will definatly travel with them again.

Addy just loving the sand. She was so cute in her matching hat and bathing suit. She out dressed mom and dad.

The water in the islands could not be prettier. We were able to snorkel off the beach of the condo. We did spend one day at Coki beach were the fish were so abundant that you could just walk into the water and see them.

Sweet Tyler! He was so good with Addy. Tyler is 4 and was just a doll the whole trip. He had great patience with the babies. In the picture above, he was trying to cuddle with Addy. To say the least we had a great time on vacation. We are now waiting for our trip to the lake with the Jolly's. We leave again on my and Doris's birthday for a week at Ben's wife Laurens Family lake house in Missouri.
I almost forgot Addy has three teeth coming in. We are moving up the the teeth world. I also put her on the scale on Monday and by our scale she was up to 20 lbs. We just might be able to turn the car seat around soon.

St. Thomas

We had a great vacation last week in St. Thomas. Grandma and Grandad have a time share at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove. It was Addy's first time at the beach and she could not have loved it more. I am not sure if I will ever get her inside for an extended amount of time though considering that we were outside almost all day long for 7 days. There was a slide into the pool that daddy made the mistake of taking her down the first day. After the first time down, she just kept pointing and crying if she was not going down the slide every couple of minutes. To say the least we spent some major time on the slide.

She loved the sand. I am sure that there is some still in her ears that will never come out.

Addison had just a blast in and out of the pool. If she was not in the pool, she was walking up and down the side walk next to the pool waving and saying "hi" to anyone and everyone. When we left everyone knew who Addy was and was her friend.

This picture was from the first day. When we first put her down on the beach, she went straight for the water dress and all. I am not sure daddy was so thrilled with the idea but mommy let her play. I never thought Brandt would be more uptight than I am about things.

1st Birthday Party in Louisville

Mimi and Papaw gave us a great big and extremely soft elephant for our 1st Birthday.

Cousin Alex and I got to play.

Mimi took such great care of me while I was in Louisville. She became one of our favorite people. We really enjoyed the visit and getting to see the whole family. Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate.

Addison started walking the Sunday that we got back from Louisville. We were playing at the pool. Addison got out on the side and just started walking to get a toy. She has not looked back. I thought she was busy before now I am not sure what to call her. She has said "night", "light" and a couple of other words this week. My baby is growing up. I am extremely sad.
We leave for St. Thomas next Sunday. We are starting to get excited.

12 and a half months

My little girl is already a girlie girl. Addison is playing in mommy's jewelry.

Addison loves bath time. No matter where we are or what we are doing, you say bath time and she is heading for the stairs or the bathtub. She loves to be wrapped up and hugged after being taken out of the bathtub. We are getting ready to head to Louisville to visit Papaw and Mimi. Mommy is being a big girl and leaving Addison with them for a couple of days while she and daddy go to Matt's graduation.

OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!
My little baby girl is one year old. Addison's birthday party was this past Saturday. She had many friends really mommy and daddy's friends and some grandparents here to celebrate with her. She tore into all her wonderful gifts.

She also has decided that her chair is her favorite place to sit. It seems to have become one of our favorite toys, up down up down.

Her she is goofing around with Grandad.

She really enjoyed seeing Grampa and Uncle Ross.

Mommy was so proud of Addison. She loved playing in her cake although she had no interest in eating the cake. Addison loved eating the cake off of my fork. She had a huge grin everytime she had a bite.

11 months and counting!

Addison is literally getting into everything these days. Her favorite game is trying to get in the fridge before we can close the door.

She currently wants Mama to hold her every 5 minutes. She's really a Mama's girl. Dada is patiently waiting his turn.

Unlce Ben and Aunt Lolo were in town last week. She enjoyed getting to see them and wished they came to visit more. She's also requested they provide some cousins sooner than later.

Post Ear infection

We are so happy to see smiles on Wednesday since Saturday through Tuesday we had a fever and an ear infection. This was really the first time she has been sick so I guess that I should count my blessings but it was terrible. Talk about feeling helpless!!!! I hope to not feel like this again for along time. It is terrible for your little sweetie to be sick.

Almost 11 months

We are up and walking behind toys and holding on to mom and dad's hands. She is so busy. It is hard to snap a picture when she is always on the go. Addison is refusing to eat baby food and has to try everything you are eating. At lunch last week, she tried a fried pickle. The only thing that she has not liked was a regular dill pickle. She is eating everything in front of her just not a lot of it. We are still weighing around 17 pounds. Brandt and I are just loving being parents and can't wait for another one. We can't believe it is coming up on a year.

10 months

We are riding our bouncy horse.

She is getting so big. I feel like she changes on a daily basis. She is still as happy as she can be. Addison is just all smiles and laughs. She is standing next to everything not walking yet. I am not pushing this.

A wonderful lady at work named Terri made this by hand for Addison. She thinks it is wonderful. Addy gets this look on her face when she looks at it. She is always hugging it. I just love her and love being a mommy. She has just started saying ma ma ma.

We are just loving dinnertime!

I am so busy these days. Mommy is having a hard time keeping up with me.

We had a great time visiting with Papaw and Mimi. They came down and kept Addy on friday while Brandt and I worked. She kept them busy. We are moving from room to room in the blink of an eye. She is easily standing now and starting to let go every now and then.

9 month check-up

We had our 9 month check up this morning. Dr. King said everything was great. We are right on target.
Our weight was 16 lb 11oz (30% percentile), height 28 inches (75% percentile) and head 45 inches (80% percentile). Dr. King said that we were proportioned just right. We can now start eating real food even eggs, yogurt, and soft cheese. Addison grabbed my pizza crust last night and started gumming it. She is crawling all over the place and trying to get in to everything.

Swinging at the park

She is getting such a personality. It was high 60's today and we enjoyed the heck out of it. She loved the swings. She would have stayed for hours.

My sweetheart!! I could eat her up. If only she looked like her mommy, she looks like the milkman. Addy's blond hair will probably be white by the end of the summer making her look even less like mommy. WHERE IS THE DARK HAIR?
The baby center web site said this week that most likely the color of the eyes will not change. Addison will most likely have the most beautiful eyes ever!!! Just like her Papaw's and Grandpa's.

Addison and her boyfriend Keller! Keller is our friend that lives in the neighborhood. She loves to go over and play with Keller and Ellamay (his big sister). Keller and Addison are within 4 days of each other. What if they end up getting married?

My big blue eyed girl! She has started pulling up to her knees when I walk in her room in the morning.

8 and a half months

Grandpa Mike came in to visit. We had a great time spending time with him.

She must be contemplating something serious. Everyday I feel like she is changing so much. Today, I told her no when she tried to take off her shoes and she threw her head back, arched her back and started crying. I am not sure when she learned what "no" meant but she definitely acted like she knew what it meant today.

If she could only stay this innocent for the rest of her life, what I would give!
Addy has still not decided to crawl although I have no complaints. She is still a perfect baby. She is always happy, smiling and very playful. She is sleeping 8pm to 8am and taking 2 naps during the day. I could not ask for anymore. We are so extremely blessed.

Look at big my baby girl is!!

She is up on her hands and knees rocking back and forth. She is going from her stomach to her hands and knees and then sitting. We are making progress towards the crawling stage. I feel like it is going to be anyday now!!!

She is loving playing with everything. Addy thinks that everything is hers and she wants to touch anything and everything.

Addison cut her bottom 2 front teeth this week, I guess on the same day. The only way we noticed is when she bit down on Carmen's finger. She doesn't really let you look at them so you have to sneak a peek when she babbles. Unfortunately no picture of them yet for that reason.

She's also waving with her hand up and down. She waves to everyone, including the pictures of the family on the wall. She waves to herself in the mirror and sometimes to no one at all.

She practices standing all the time and she loves it. She'll hold on to her toy and stand for 20 min at a time if you let her. But she still hasn't figured out crawling yet, we're going to work on that today.

We have not had the camera for 2 weeks, its been getting a cleaning at the camera store. But I pick it up today and we'll have new pictures soon.

Christmas Week

Addison loved opening her Baptismal presents while sitting on Allison's lap.

The Deacon that said the service was wonderful. The Baptism went very smooth and Addison behaved the whole time. She loved the other children at the church. It is amazing to me how excited she gets just seeing other kids. I wonder if she is trying to tell her dad and I something. hint..hint...

I am sure that she did not understand what was going on but we all enjoyed watching her open the presents. Of course, she loved playing with the wrapping and the bags more than the toys.

She has really started to love her food... We really enjoyed and appreciated everyone coming in town for Christmas and the Baptism. It is so great to have such a loving and involved family. We love you all!!! We thank everyone for making the trip and taking the time.

Addison is loving her chair that Papaw and MiMi gave her. She just sits and hangs out. Relaxing!

She is getting so much personality. I am wondering if not to much. She is getting a little difficult to put to sleep. She wants to stay up and play. She has realized that she is missing out. Addison turns 7 months this week, how time flies.

I don't want to give away the actual picture but we were taking Christmas Card photos today. This is my favorite outfit.

I love her smile!! She just lights up the room with her full face smile.

She is loving bath time. She can be really fussy and then the bath tub makes us all smiles. I think everyday is my favorite day but then the next day comes. I am so blessed. We are looking forward to seeing everyone over Christmas.

They had so much fun just playing with her toys. She was very entertained with everyone playing with her. I am thinking that she might be slightly spoiled after all the attention.

Addison is such a ham. I am sure that she is starting to pose for the camera. Every time we pull out the camera she starts smiling.

All the family! It was great to see everyone although Sam gave me a horrible cold. I will get you back Sam you just wait.

Addy is in love with her Papaw. She followed his every move.

Mimi and Pepaw gave her a princess chair for her early Christmas present. She loves her chair. She thinks that she is big stuff when she sits in it.

This is some of Daddy and Addy time. He always puts her in the cutest outfits for them just to sit around the house. I love his choice in outfits. He loves his baby girl to look cute.

6th Month Doctor Visit

I am sorry that I have not posted any pictures this week. We have been busy girls. We went to the doctors on Wednesday for out 6th month appointment. She have us gold star!!!! Our stats:
14 lbs 13oz (40th percent)
26 3/4th inches (90th percent)
I guess that I have nothing to complain about we are growing and healthy. I have a tall skinny blond hair blue eyed baby!! Things could be worse!!

She is just getting more personality by the minute. We go for our 6 month appointment next week. We are getting excited about going to Louisville for Thanksgiving. I am a little nervous about the car ride. She likes to be moving so much now.

My first time on a swing.

Addison thought the swing was just great fun!

This is our best friend Colin's little boy Tyler. This is the first time he sat on the swing like a big boy and to think that Brandt captured it on camera.

As you can tell, Daddy liked the swings also.

She is growing up so quick. We were out visiting Brandt's Grandparents and got to visit with the Smith's an added bonus. We miss them so much. We wish they would come back everyday.

We were shopping yesterday and I could not pass up a picture with the hat. They were not selling them so if anyone knows where to get a baby santa hat let me know. Addison sat up for the first time on Saturday. It was only for a minute of so but it was by herself. She is getting so big. And by the way, we do not let her watch TV!

Our first visit to the pumpkin patch! She was so cute. She loved to touch the straw. I turned around for one minute and she had a handful of straw headed for her mouth. That will teach me!

I do not know how I got so lucky. This is exactly how she looks all day long just smiling and happy.

She has just started making this face. I could just eat her cheeks. She has discovered how to roll to get where she wants to go. We have a large room in the basement with Brandt's office on one end and the big TV on the other. She rolled from the office to infront of the TV. She will be 5 months next Monday. I can not believe how time goes by so quick.

Addison found her toes this week! She loves them. We thought that the fingers were entertaining.

She is just the light of my life. All day long, she just smiles at me. I can not get enough of her. I wonder everyday how I could love her more. I am not a proud mommy at all. She is rolling over all the time. Addy is now in 9 month clothing because she is so long.

My big Girl!!! We had our 4 month doctors appointment today. Mommy cried again when Addy got shots. I have turned into a big sissy. Addy was 50th percent in weight 13lb. 12oz. and 90th percent in height 25.5inches. She is loving tummy time but is getting frustrated that she can't turn back over. She was rolling both ways last week but this week just back to front. Addy thinks she is such a big girl when she rolls over she always looks right at you with a big grin. She has slept through the night for the past couple of days. It is making me nervous when I find her in the morning on her belly.

No one can call us a boy anymore!

Yesterday, Addy started to find toys and her toes!

Addy loves her pink bear that papaw gave her!! She covered it in kisses.

She is getting so big, holding her head up is no longer a task.

Addy, in the past week, has found her toes, she is now reaching for toys above her head and is trying her hardest to roll over. She woke up this morning and immediately went for her toes. It is so neat to watch her discover new things. She will lie on her back and play with her activity mat for 45 minutes. She loves it. I wish she would slow down. It makes me sad thinking about her growing up so quick. She will be 4 months next week.

We had a big day today. We sat up in our bouncy seat and had a great time!! I can't believe how big she is getting. she is reaching for items on her activity mat when she lays on it.

Addison and Tucker obvious got along great!

It was the first time that Jackie and I got to visit since my wedding. A lot has happened for both of us. Jackie and her family live in a beautiful beach town on the south shore of Boston. It was a wonderful visit. They have a great view from their porch of the harbor.

I can't help but being a proud mommy. I think that she is the cutest thing on the planet. She brightens the gloomiest day. She has decided that the bottle is not such a bad thing thank goodness for mommy. It only took her two days of not eating.

The Hambrick Family has been busy! We were in Boston and Newport, RI last week for my little brothers wedding. He is the one in the picture above with Addison and I. He had gotten engaged at my wedding.

Daddy, Addy and I. I am not so sure she loved her pretty dress that grandma got her for the wedding and rehearsal dinner. She was always a little happier when she got her pj's on.

Ben and Lauren had a great reception at a beach club. The send off was beautiful with the ocean in the back ground. We hope that they are having a great time in St. Thomas.

There are more pictures on the left side of the blog from the rehearsal dinner. I went back to work this week. It might have been one of the worst days of my life. Addison was still not taking a bottle when I left on Tuesday morning but thank goodness for my step father. Bruce got her to take a bottle by mid day. Addy took 4 oz. of milk by the end of the day. I never thought I would be so excited about 4 oz. in my life. It is the little things in life.

Proud Papaw!

We got to meet Great Mamaw for the first time!

Addison discovered her hands last week. They are a source of entertainment!

Addison had so much fun at Grandma's 80th Birthday Party, she had to sneak in a nap.

Last week, we took our second road trip to Louisville for Ben and Lauren's Shower and Grandma's Birthday Party. Addison did much better in the car this time although anything would have been better than her screaming for 3 hours after the Hilton Head trip. The doctor recommended Gripe Water and it was a God send. We meet 2 new Great Grandparents!!! We got to spend some time with my dad's mother and my mom's father. They all enjoyed seeing the new addition.

Addison is becoming more and more interactive by the day. Her head control is vastly improving. She is looking around now when she is on your shoulder. She has finally gotten her hands to her mouth and she is now getting her fingers in her mouth. She seems to be quite proud of herself and it keeps her busy so mom can get things done.

Addison is really starting to interact with us. Yesterday, she and I went back and forth with different sounds for 45 minutes. It was like she was really talking to me and responding. Every time I made a noise, she made one right back at me. She has started reaching for objects. I can not imagine loving her any more or my life without her.

Ok, not really. But she is speaking in fluent baby. Her first "word" is "agoo" and she likes having conversations with Mom and Dad. Strings of "coos" and "ohhhs" and lots of bubble blowing makes having a conversation with her alot of fun. She responds back to what Mommy and Daddy say now. Her smile will already melt the toughest heart.

After hearing tons of horror stories, we can honestly say we are truly blessed as she is a true dream to be around.

7 Weeks

We are headed to Hilton Head for the 4th of July. It is our annual trip with grandma, grandad Craycraft and Matt. I have to say next year will be more fun since Addison can not be out in the sun yet. We did enjoy sitting out on the porch watching the kids play in the pool. There was actually a nice breeze on the porch that mom and Addy could sit and talk all day. We seem to be growing by the minute. We measured her last night and she is 25 inches long which was over 100% on the growth chart. We will be going to the doctor tomorrow for our 2 month check up and shots. She is starting to coo more even when she is lying by herself. She is so cute. She sit's in her boppy and talks to herself.

6 Weeks

Addison and I have been having so much fun! We have been going on walks every morning so mommy can get back in shape. She is so much fun in the morning after she eats. It is my favorite time of the day. She will just sit and smile and make all kinds of noises! She is really loving her bath time. She just sits and looks at me. We had a great time on Saturday night with Allison and Darren. Allison and Darren made us dinner. We let Darren hold her and get use to it before Allison gets her way!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to our little home on the web. We'll be posting tons and tons, and to be quite honest most of it will be about Addison (including lots of pics). Its been a pretty exciting month so far and we would like to share it all with you.

Addison is still doing wonderful, and has been a dream so far. She has started to smile and coo. She is becoming more and more interactive. At her most recent doctors appointment she weighed 9lbs 12oz. And the doctor said she is doing great. She's sleeping well and Mommy is not too exhausted. We definitely have a great baby!
